Flights and Transfers
Included are a few links to help you plan your holiday.
Please note that arrival time is from 4pm - 11pm and the departure time from the chalet is before 10am to allow for changeovers. You can store your luggage in the boot room.
Trains are an excellent way of travelling and great value for money Snow train and Eurostar sleeper run overnight departing Friday and returning on the Saturday evening - allowing 8 days skiing. Direct Day train (leaves London at 8:15 am on Saturday and you are in the chalet by 6pm). There is a direct bus service which meets the train and brings you up to Courchevel for just a few euros.
Flights - There are numerous airlines now serving Courchevel. Nearest airports are Chambery (1 hour away but can be affected by fog), Geneva (the cheapest and most frequently used for transfers) and Grenoble and Lyon all just under 2 hours drive.
Transfers - We can organise private transfers guide price 350 Euros each way for a minibus of 8 or for smaller numbers we can help you link up with other travellers (budget 50 Euros for a weekend transfer each way). Transfers from Lyon are a little more expensive than Geneva. The majority of transfers go to Geneva. If you are looking for a shared transfer then Geneva is definately the better option. Alternatively look at Alp Ski Bus or Sato Bus links below for coach service - the Lyon coach service is good.
Hire Cars - For long weekends these work out more economical than transfers. With the new Autoroute from Geneva to Annecy this has made the drive fairly easy.
Car - advantage of Skiing on 8 days - only 8 hours from Calais to Le Praz all but last 20 minutes on auto routes. Great hotel stops from Formula 1 Premiere Classe, Campanile and Ibis through to lovely chateau's and great restaurants with rooms we have stayed in. Fill up with wine on the way home!! Our preferred method and good value for a group. If the forecast is for snow you will need Snow tyres or chains. There is a free car park.
Overnight Coaches available through Ski Meribel.
